Hello, my name is Sharon Yeung, and I am the owner of Sunbird Spark. I started Cards for The Cure in hopes of helping change the future of cancer for my friends, family, and the many people across Canada who are affected by this disease.

With nearly half of Canadians expected to be diagnosed with cancer in their lifetime, every donation truly matters. 100% of proceeds from this fundraiser go directly to the Canadian Cancer Society, helping to fund the most promising research in ovarian and endometrial cancer prevention and treatment. Your support also helps CCS provide compassionate, personalized services to individuals diagnosed with cancer, as well as vital support for their families and friends, because no one should face cancer alone.

This greeting card fundraiser is a meaningful way to combine compassion and creativity. Handmade greeting cards are now available for purchase at selected local shops in the Kerrisdale community of Vancouver. By purchasing a handmade card, you are not only brightening a loved one’s day, you are directly supporting this important cause. You may also choose to donate directly through my Canadian Cancer Society Cards for The Cure fundraising page. An official tax receipt will be emailed to you for all direct donations. By supporting this event, you are helping to champion world-leading outcomes in ovarian and endometrial cancer prevention, treatment, and support.

The Canadian Cancer Society is committed to funding the most promising cancer research in the country. In 2023 alone, CCS invested $44.7 million in cancer research and innovation programs—supporting projects across all cancer types and stages, from prevention and diagnosis to treatment and beyond.
